2018. During Jan 30-31, 2018, MECC Maastricht hosted a two-day event focused on the latest technological innovations in medicine: 3D printing, robotics, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality. The event included two conferences – 3D Medical Printing Conference and Health Tech Event and an expo with innovative companies involved in the chain of Bio-, Medical-, Dental- and Medicine 3D printing. The conferences were not only academic, but innovative events bringing together brilliant minds and discoveries. It was a unique event, with 35 speakers in total [13 speakers Day 1, 23 speakers Day 2] and a lively exhibition where the attendees could see real life solutions of the technologies discussed during the conferences, as well as many other innovative technologies. SoftBank Robotics Europe, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma, Materialise, Merck Life Science, ACTA, Mobilab, UK RWTH Aachen, Maastricht University, Tilburg University, TU/e, University of Pisa, KU Leuven, TNO, Vektis, Tosoh were only a few of the companies and institutions whose representatives spoke. 2017. The 4th edition of the 3D Bioprinting Conference took place on January 31, 2017, at MECC Maastricht, The Netherlands.

The conference was part of a two-day event that included three other conferences and a dedicated exhibition. The conferences brought together over 230 attendees, who gathered to discuss the most disruptive applications of 3D printing in the medical world, and latest developments and applications in the field. They were not purely academic conferences, but innovative events bringing together brilliant minds and discoveries.

At the 3D Bioprinting Conference, speakers from University of Cambridge, iMakr, University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine New Bolton Center,University of Zurich / Braunpat Braun Eder AG, InnoPhysics, BioDan Group, Université Lyon1, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and University of Manchester talked about the topics in focus. 2016. On January 26th, 2016, the 3rd edition of the 3D Bioprinting Conference took place at MECC Maastricht, in The Netherlands.

International leading speakers from renowned companies and institutions such as Cartilage Engineering + Regeneration Laboratory, ETH Zürich, Heriot Watt University, BioBots, University of Nottingham, University of Lyon, Lützeler Klümper Rechtsanwälte,Ourobotics, University of Liège, Regemat3D and CANTER – Center for Applied Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine shared their knowledge and views on 3D Bioprinting topics. 2014. The wide variety of topics around 3D bioprinting has made the 3D Bioprinting Conference to a big success. Companies like Laser Zentrum Hannover, Louwers IP | Technology,Fraunhofer Institute and 2Move Implants succeeded to inspire the international attendees with their enthralling presentations, in which different views and technologies were introduced.

Throughout the day, the attendees were actively networking around the exhibition, where Opiliones, ManSys Project and Optics11 had decorated their stand. We can look back on a day full of innovation, inspiration and networking!
