Title of the keynote lecture: Bioprinting by means of multi-channel 3D plotting.

Michael Gelinsky is a full professor at the Medical Faculty of Dresden University of Technology (Germany) and heads the Centre for Translational Bone, Joint and Soft Tissue Research, a central research facility of Faculty and University Hospital.

The work of Michael Gelinsky is focused on biomaterials design and synthesTU_dresden logo125x125is for hard and soft tissues, tissue engineering, translational musculoskeletal medicine and bioprinting. He is a founder member of the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD) which is part of the German National Initiative of Excellence.

Since 2010 he and his group is actively working on additive manufacturing of biomaterials and tissue engineering constructs and bioprinting approaches by means of 3D plotting. By combining different biomaterials, growth factors and living cells he is working on solutions for complex tissue defects and those, located at tissue interfaces.

Michael Gelinsky is author/co-author of more than 110 articles, published in international peer-reviewed journals, several book chapters and patents and is PI of several national and international projects.
