3D printing in Medicine. A new competence of Radiology?

I will talk about the new scenarios in Medicine, focusing on the all-days cases that 3d printing applied to clinical needs can resolve. Will expose also my experience as a Medical Doctor , Radiologist, using 3D printing in selected cases for the pre-surgery planning .

What drives you?
The need to improve the technology in the Hospitals;I think that t only an expert health-worker can give a real boost to this field of science.

Why should the delegate attend your presentation?
I will present real clinical cases solved thanks to 3d Printing.

What emerging technologies/trends do you see as having the greatest potential in the short and long run?
Bioprinting. Absolutely.

What kind of impact do you expect them to have?
The end of an Era in transplant organs and after trauma-surgery.

What are the barriers that might stand in the way?
Cultural, economics.

I believe that the doctors must embrace and master the 3D printing science. It will change the medicine, with or without us.
